These stones suggest the stories found in river pebbles - of their geological origins and the river journey that has formed them. Iron stoneware with porcelain brushwork that has turned lustrous in areas with the natural ash glaze.

Reworked in 2024, some glaze completely removed by sandblasting to regain the texture of the clay.

Due to faults in the lustre this pot was re-fired. I expected the sandblasted design to disappear but happily it did not, instead it became this delicate blue which I think is due to the high fired lustre.
